Tennessee Cheesecake plans move to Lebanon

Tennessee Cheesecake Inc. has announced it will relocate from Mt. Juliet and go to a larger manufacturing space in Lebanon, which will include additional jobs.

The 34-year-old bakery will assume 40,000 square feet within the Novamet Tech Center, which is the former Toshiba building on Toshiba Drive.

The move from Tennessee Cheesecake’s 10,000-square-foot facility on Industrial Drive in Mt. Juliet is to accommodate growth.

Citing "steady growth," Tennessee Cheesecake Inc. has announced plans to move from Mt. Juliet to Lebanon's Novamet Tech Center, formerly home to Toshiba.

The new building is four times the size of Tennessee Cheesecake's current facility and will be used for manufacturing, warehousing and distribution operations to serve customers throughout the country. The company, which currently employs more than 30 people, expects to add at least 15 full-time employees over the next two years.

Tennessee Cheesecake Inc., a family-owned commercial bakery launched in 1981 by Valerie Byrd in her home kitchen, will relocate to a 40,000-square-foot manufacturing facility in Lebanon, company officials announced Monday.

According to principals of the company, the announcement marks Tennessee Cheesecake’s third building move and expansion in 11 years, and is prompted by the business’ steady growth.
